Mindfulness, Meditation and Self-Care

mindfulness is checking in

mindfulness is like checking in to the present moment.

it’s like saying, “hello. i’ve arrived. what’s going on around here?”

it is getting curious, and noticing, without judgement, what is happening in and around ourselves in that moment.

so — practice dropping in and saying hello. pausing to appreciate the sights, smells, feelings, thoughts and other elements of a moment sometime.

and then you will realize that you’ve been here all along.

at least, some element(s) of you were here all along. now you are simply observing that you are here.

it is bringing that conscious awareness to what already is, that is mindfulness.
